ok, i totally missed the deadhead thing (thank god), but i'm totally doin the MuseHead thing. After my first show last year at the Wiltern, my relationship with this band instantly transformed from fan into follower status.
Seeing Muse live is such a freakout glorious experience from beginning to end I totally can't get enough of it. I have never been so addicted to a musical experience, and i've been to a helluva lot of shows in my short 28 years on planet earth.
Having to wait over a year for Muse's return to the states has been agony, but I finally saw em again at the San Francisco show, and well, walked away disappointed. I was extremely exhausted and fresh out of the hospital, which probably contributed, but I thought the location and vibe was pretty weak too.
Then i saw them in my hometown of Philly, and holy shit! my faith was completely restored, and i was on top of the world for weeks. The Electric Factory crowd was totally into it, and i got right up against the stage for most of the second half of the show. Its been over a month now, and i'm really itchin for my Muse fix. Luckily September is Muse Month!
First, there's the Vegas show on the 21st for which i have floor tix. Then there's the show at UC Davis with the Strokes on the 28th, which i also have floor tix for. Really interested to see how that combo juxtaposes. THEN, just two days later is the Download Festival, and I'll finally get to see Muse in a festival setup, and after seeing the Glastonbury DVD, my hopes are really high for this one.
YEAAAHHH MUSE MONTH!!!!!!!!!!!!
